Reported Sighting of Sam the Indian in Sand Point

Source: The Morning Review (Spokesman), Nov. 26, 1885, page 3

Text:

We understand that the Indian who shot and killed Gieger in this city last June was recently seen at Sand Point. Billy Martin, Sheriff of Kootenai County started from Rathdrum on the trail but the redskin got away and is now in the Calispel country. It is expected that the officers will be able to pick up the rascal some of these days.
